Domenica 29 giugno
In today´s episode Barox and Adam chat with Bill Sassenberger, the owner of the legendary label Toxic Shock (Zero Boys, Corrosion Of Conformity, Raw Power, Sloppy Seconds, Decry, Dayglo Abortions,…) and the eponymous record store, first located in Pomona, California then in Tucson, Arizona. Bill has recently published a book called Toxic Shock – Assassin of Mediocrity that he will come to Europe with, to promote it in Germany and the Netherlands in June, so we jumped on the occasion to interview him to find out more. From the shy starts of the record store in the back room of a hippie store, to the feud with Rozz Williams of Christian Death, to signing of Italian HC band Raw Power, to the short lived store adventure in New Orleans, to living in the desert and opening the shop in a new town, you´ll find it all here, and more. All accompanied by a great soundtrack that includes songs by Raw Power, Alkaline Trio, Armchair Martian, Sloppy Seconds, and others.
