Origliare passeggeri impegnati in conversazioni telefoniche su mezzi di trasporto collettivi spesso rivela pulsioni di disagio nei confronti di un presente sempre più incerto e problematico, desideri di sicurezza e timori per il benessere individuale, insieme ad una prossemica volta a difendere il proprio spazio privato: occupando il posto accanto al nostro, indossando cuffie che isolino dal mondo esterno, ascoltando un qualche device a volumi fastidiosi ed ingombranti.
Insomma, “zone di privacy” da recintare invisibilmente e da difendere ad ogni costo. Tale è la lotta più spiccia che attende i guerrieri-smart della cibernetica applicata al quotidiano.

Eavesdropping on passengers engaged in phone conversations on public transportation often reveals feelings of unease about an increasingly uncertain and problematic present, desires for security, and fears for one’s personal well-being—along with body language aimed at defending one’s personal space: taking the seat next to ours, wearing headphones that isolate one from the outside world, or listening to a device at annoyingly loud and intrusive volumes.
In short, “zones of privacy” to be invisibly fenced off and defended at all costs. Such is the most immediate battle awaiting the “smart warriors” of cybernetics applied to everyday life.

Sleepdose puntata 180

Sleep Dose, a collection of oblique, abstract and mysterious music curated by NigNigNig, fluctuating between soundscapes, psychogeographies, future and past eras and stormy dream states.

Starting from an archive of over fifty thousand tracks, the selection of tracks, determined by a prior use of tags, follows a random pattern. The result is a playlist arbitrarily limited to a maximum of 23 tracks; each playlist is then randomly mixed and reprocessed through the use of effects.

The sequence of song titles creates involuntary forms of automatic poetry, offering moments of unpredictable lyricism and narrative coherence… as well as the flow of our personal dream world, not only during sleep.
