Sleep Dose #130 (Lanterna Magica).
Ancora una volta insieme per abbandonarci al flusso di immagini uditive, frutto di fugaci reliquie tecnologiche; una lanterna magica che proietta suoni, e attrae al modo della fiamma filiforme di una candela. Si lascia contemplare dall’orecchio, come fa l’occhio con fosfeni sprigionati da una luce troppo invadente, sotto le palpebre serrate. Restare in ascolto.

Once again together to surrender yourself in the flow of auditory images, the result of fleeting technological relics; a magic lantern that projects sounds, and attracts in the manner of the threadlike flame of a candle. It allows itself to be contemplated by the ear, as the eye does with phosphenes released by too intrusive light, under tightly closed eyelids.

Sleep Dose, a collection of oblique, abstract and mysterious music curated by NigNigNig, fluctuating between soundscapes, psychogeographies, future and past eras and stormy dream states.

Starting from an archive of over fifty thousand tracks, the selection of tracks, determined by a prior use of tags, follows a random pattern. The result is a playlist arbitrarily limited to a maximum of 23 tracks; each playlist is then randomly mixed and reprocessed through the use of effects.

The sequence of song titles creates involuntary forms of automatic poetry, offering moments of unpredictable lyricism and narrative coherence… as well as the flow of our personal dream world, not only during sleep.
