Sleep Dose #158 Nig Nig Nig

Mercoledì 25 febbraio, Sleep Dose #158 (L’animale leggero).

Wednesday, February 25, Sleep Dose #158 (L’Animale Leggero).

Sometimes we feel confined within our human bodies. Watching the unpredictable aerial trails of solitary birds, I feel a pang of envy. Soaring lightly, flying. It is simply enchanting. Animals are totems, symbolic reminders of ancient heritage, something to cling to when we lose our way in our daily lives, when we seek protection for our wounded souls. A glimpse of atavistic innocence, ready to incarnate itself in the strangest and most unusual forms.
Unripe fruits that could turn into a lake; fireflies wandering among fern flowers; a cat in front of a still film of the sea. These are some of the sound images you will encounter, if you wish, in this selection of songs that tonight really feels like a song.
I have always felt a kinship with canines, and for long stretches of my life I have been able to enjoy their presence, company, and advice. Even today, I’m lucky enough to be able to lose myself, while walking in the snow, in the dazzling black of a furry coat.
“In life, it is not the future that counts, but the past”, as the title of one of the tracks on the playlist in this new episode of Sleep Dose .
