Sleep Dose #132 Nig Nig Nig
Wednesday, July 2, Sleep Dose #132 (In the Theater of the Mind – Disintegrating Jazz).
An old record player starts playing old jazz tunes, taken from 78s and phonograph cylinders. They are relics that have survived the future. They croak from the accumulated dust of time, a streaking dust, akin to synaptic encrustations. Brain malfunctions and gaps reflected on the mind, which begins to malfunction, distorts; compresses and dilates time at will, erases it, disintegrating it.
But without a narrative anymore, who are we? What have we become if we no longer have a past, when everything fades and memory crumbles, piece by piece?
The investigation of The Caretaker is conceptually directed at the slow drift of a mind that consumes, stage by stage, its memories, and everything erases.
