Achtung banditen #112 Special South Africa Punk. Deon Maas has been involved with South African music since the late 70’s – first as a journalist, then a record company executive and then as a TV producer and documentary filmmaker. He has written various books and is a regular contributor to South African publications writing about the overlap between pop culture, politics and history. He has hosted various radio programmes, had a late-night talk show on South African television and was a judge on Idols. He has travelled extensively through sub-Saharan Africa for media and content creation.
