Mercoledì 10 giugno, Sleep Dose #170 (Vita Cortese).

Bucolicamente disteso, cerco di prolungare indefinitamente questa atemporalità di appagante pigrizia, fermo restando che un passo oltre tutto vortica, se solo col pensiero si va dal canto dei merli al sinistro ronzare di un drone armato.
Spesso penso a che volto abbiano le persone che li governano da remoto; tutte quelle ore spese ad esercitarsi, mentre nelle pause tra una simulazione ed un vero attacco (ma dov’è la differenza dal loro punto di vista?) sorridono, scherzano sorseggiando caffè, cercando di dare un senso al proprio contegno da assassini di insetti.
Si danza di stella in stella, mentre tutto va alla deriva come un relitto ancora fiocamente illuminato, ma già preda della corrente.

Lying there idyllically, I try to prolong this timelessness of satisfying laziness indefinitely, although one step beyond it all swirls, if only in thought, from the song of blackbirds to the sinister hum of an armed drone.
I often wonder what the faces of the people who control them remotely look like; all those hours spent practising, whilst in the breaks between a simulation and a real attack (but where is the difference from their point of view?) they smile, joke and sip coffee, trying to make sense of their own behaviour as insect killers.
We dance from star to star, whilst everything drifts like a wreck still dimly lit, but already at the mercy of the current.
